Éli Doyon et la Tempête
Included with the Opening night ticket.
Multi-instrumentalist Éli Doyon has always been secretly cooking up melodies and poetry on his own. In 2009, for a benefit concert, he and his trombone-playing sister, Madeleine Doyon (first trombone for the OSL and OSG), brought their instruments together for the first time and realized that the unlikely pair (banjo-trombone) had great potential. Ever since, Éli (clarinet, banjo, guitar, and vocals) and La Tempête (trombone, horn, trombone, and percussions) have deftly combined their instruments in a horn-inflected francophone folk sound, defying expectations and drifting towards pop, funk, and klezmer.
